An Olympic qualifier for Barcelona, Mimi Bertolet is a positive person with a new outlook on life. Mimi was born in Reading, PA and grew up in the suburbs in that area. Mimi attended several colleges and did some post graduate work in occupational therapy at Shenandoah University. She owned her own landscaping business for several years and competed in equestrian competitions prior to joining National Agents Alliance.

In the summer of 2006, Mimi became involved with NAA. Mimi kept seeing an ad on Career Builder from Patrick Connors and decided to give it a shot. Mimi had just overcome alcohol abuse and when she was introduced to NAA, it couldn′t have been a better time she said. "I had to change one day at a time," Mimi explained. "The best way to become positive and stay positive is to read." Mimi advises people to dispel negativity and not let one negative thing ruin your whole day.

"The first time I talked to Patrick on the phone I said I want to do this and I′ve followed ever since," she said. Mimi enjoys the freedom and flexibility of the NAA opportunity. She also enjoys knowing that she is doing right by her clients. She attributes her success to Patrick Connors, her upline manager.

"I have just gotten started and my mother says that a smile never leaves my face!" she said. "I will never forget when I saw a deposit in my checking account for $32,000 for an annuity last fall!"
Mimi advises new agents to "just do it; follow the program and you can′t fail."

"Don′t make excuses," she said. "When things are tough, push through and you will come out on the other side, very successful." Mimi wants to build the Bertolet Agency as big as she can, help as many families as she can, and help her agents be as successful as they can be.

"I got a lead one time for a million dollar mortgage! After telling my team not to worry about the ′big ones′ and just call, I found myself, putting off calling the lead. Finally, I called. Here's what happened: The voice on the other end of the phone said ′Are you the Mimi Bertolet I went to boarding school with?′ Needless to say, I couldn't believe it! That lead not only reunited me with a former classmate, it also resulted in four policies -- two Old Mutual and two Foresters!"

NAA has shown Mimi that the American Dream is still possible, and she now reaches for it every day!

Mimi has three dogs -- a Polo-Dalmation, a Yuengling-Shephard mix, and a Hercules-standard poodle. She enjoys taking vacations at Virgin Gorda, on the British Virgin Isalnds, hiking with her dogs and reading while relaxing in her hammock. (Her hammock, by the way, goes with her wherever she travels.)

"One of my personal goals is in the process of being realized – to buy a house in Georgia and move." Mimi also wants to build a log cabin one day and spend Februaries on an island in the Caribbean.

"I love what I'm doing -- helping agents get started, protecting families that really need our help and at the same creating financial security for myself."
