Income Projections   •   Take The Next Step

1    From owning and running a Greek restaurant to selling industrial supplies, Ed Orell has tried it all.  But after making over $100,000 in his first year selling insurance at the age of 23, Ed realized where his future was.  “I got my insurance license and was amazed, and still am, at how I can pick up a check for $100 and get paid $600+.”
Ed was raised in Florida and attended college at the University of South Florida in Tampa.  After receiving a degree in finance, he ran a restaurant and sold industrial supplies until he “had enough of the cold calling and business to business sales”.  It was only after seeing an ad for selling insurance that Ed decided to get his license.  And it was the right decision.
2     From the beginning, Ed knew he wanted to make his mark on the insurance world.  “I started to build an agency shortly after getting my license and quickly realized the power of overrides and the limitless income opportunity.”  In July of 2003, Ed made an important discovery.  “I found NAA and I gave it a shot.  There weren't even leads locally; I had to drive 3 hours to the nearest lead flow.  But when I realized the quality of the leads and the products, it was obvious the opportunity is here.” Working with NAA has brought about many changes in Ed’s life.  “The culture, vision, growth, open territories, leadership, and income” have helped him shape his agency into a powerhouse.  Ed says he has finally found “the flexibility and freedom to build my business my way and utilize my strengths without limitations”.  And his business is booming.  Ed’s Master Agency is a consistent figure on the company’s leader boards.

Ed has also discovered his own leadership talents.  He advises his new agents to go “all in” early and “commit to NAA or bust.”  Ed tells new agents to “plug into all local and national training, attend all events, take ownership, and make this month better than last month.”  Judging from his agency’s success, his advice must be working.

3     Ed and wife Allyson are the proud parents of a one year old daughter, Julia.  The family, along with Brittany, the family feline, is enjoying the fruits of Ed’s labor.  They enjoy vacationing in New York City and Las Vegas, and Ed’s hobby of flying model helicopters and airplanes keeps them entertained.  Ed’s goals for the future are to “provide an amazing life for my family, be a great dad to my daughter and husband to my wife.”  When looking forward to his business plans, Ed hopes to “constantly duplicate myself so that others can enjoy the same life-changing success in this business as I have.”
